Like a divine creature of nature, Dutch model Kim Noorda mesmerises all in Stella McCartney’s idyllic Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign for the British IT Designer’s lingerie collection. Under the spellbinding lens of Tim Barber, this set of intimate photographs, shot both at home and in the wild, conveys the purity of fresh natural beauty. Although Ms. McCartney did work a lot of racy laces into the collection, she kept the collection youthful and delightfully sweet without veering into an overtly sexy path. As simple as it is, how could anyone not go weak in the knees for this?

In The Black
Been in the black is a physical property that my ‘black’ Ksubi jeans no longer possesses for a very very long time. Since they are in such a practically sad and worn-to-shreds state, I guess it’s finally time to say goodbye to “Ragged Brokenness” and greet the Newbie family in the Jeans/Trousers/Pants draw of my wardrobe. Amongst my soon-to-purchase list are:
- Helmut Lang Solar Suede Stretch Leggings (USD $920.00)
- Stella McCartney Lace Detail Wool Blend Leggings (€825,00 €495,00)
- Proenza Schouler Pieced Skinny Pant (USD $790.00 $553.00)
Don’t underestimate a simple pair of pants! These pierced skinnies certainly have the power a pair of pants should have - smart, stylish and everlastingly chic! Available at La Garçonne and My Theresa.

McSexy
Black is sexy! Lace is sexy! So putting these two sexy elements together, well… what else do we get? Something explosively super sexy!!! With its intricate network of sexy black lace, Stella McCartney’s sleeveless dress ($USD$1,795.00) practically spells out sexy word by word like no other. I love the fact that it has an exquisite scalloped trim. It adds an extra kick to the dress making stealing the night just a dress away.

Spring into Spring!
Hey, everyone! Welcome to 2010! I hope you all had a splendid New Year’s celebration and that 2010 will be filled with many great moments for you.
To begin 2010 officially, let’s start off being spring loaded with something that is simple yet everlastingly elegant – floral dresses. Two of the top choices from Bergdorf Goodman’s Spring Preview for me are: Stella McCartney’s Strapless Ruffled Dress (USD$1,965.00) and Versace’s Belted Floral Shirtdress (USD$1,985.00). With its alluring printwork of the precious blue and purple flower, Versace’s silk shirtdress is remarkably fresh and lively. Ms. McCartney’s A-line skirt with the pretty wisteria print is for sure a girl’s best friend! I love the fact that it’s young, fun and so unbelievably refreshing! Perfect for dancing all day and all night long.
Available for pre-order from Bergdorf Goodman.

Spotted
@ McDonald’s: Exotic olive-skinned German girl with huge golden floral hair accessory. Glistening glittering glam rock to the max!
@ MaxMara: Asian German clients, along with a clang of kids, make themselves at home.
@ Moschino: A short (in height) version of Miranda Kerr with stunning piercing eyes like dazzling stars in the sky. Wanted to scream out “Miranda!” [1]
@ Moschino: Russian man with pram and tiny baby dressing his wife and friend. Busy man!
@ Massimo Dutti: A total mess at womenswear. An absolute indication of good sales figure?
@ Dussmann: The HOME movie by Yann and PPR costing well above 20 euros. *GASP*
@ CDU, the German political party: a party!
@ Adidas womenswear: Cool crinkled top from Stella McCartney for Adidas [2] folded into a tiny heart shaped box. Very cool, indeed!
@ Adidas store: Suspicious guy always standing outside during the mystic night of god-knows-what-hour. Is he a watch man or a night guard?
@ La Fayette’s menswear: A wave of men seen trying jackets and coats on. Possibly a seller amidst recession.
@ Issey Miyake / La fayette: The extraordinary Pleats Please collection made 100% out of polyester. It looks out of this world but feels so genuinely soft. I like the crinkle cut. Even with its classic tailoring, it is originally modern and eccentric.
@ La Fayette’s womenswear: so many guys and men waiting for their dolls to shop.
@ Emporio Armani womenswear / La Fayette: a guy gentleman, who is sitting on the sofa and reading “The Economist”, being served coffee while waiting for his wonderful wife.
@ DKNY: Feminine everything. Nothing stiff at all.
@ Boss: Tailoring and tailoring and… tailoring!
Endnote:
[1] I was never a fan of Miranda Kerr, but now that I see a similar version of her, I don’t know what I will do if I ever meet her in the future in real life. Just gasp probably. Or maybe that girl at Moschino is just the most striking version of the Kerr-look?
[2] This crinkled material is made 67% out of cotton and 33% out of polyester.

Stella McCartney: Passion for Creation
Saw Stella McCartney’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection in KaDeWe. Fainted at how intricate everything is and thought that she is not simply just hyped because of her father’s fame, but because of her eye for beauty, her passion for fashion and creation. Simply incredible!
