Dutch model Rogier Bosschaart rightly presents this eccentric artistic collection from the Italian fashion label Marni. For Spring/Summer 2010, designer Consuelo Castiglioni has given Marni men nice functional pieces in a diverse range of colours – predominantly, a sensible palette infused with a slight hint of citric yellow.

Dries van Noten Mens Spring/Summer Ready-to-wear 2010 Paris
Is Dries Van Noten men and Dries Van Noten women one of the most matching couples in fashion history ever? Just like the Belgian designer’s womens collection, which we have just seen yesterday, South East Asia is the source of inspiration for menswear as well – creating an easy and non-chalant collection that is smart yet casual and refined yet never over the top.

Lanvin Spring/Summer Ready-to-wear 2008 Homme PARIS
In my opinion, Lanvin is no doubt the house with the best menswear collection for spring/Summer 2008. Designer Lucas Ossendrijver from the House of Lanvin Homme has certainly converted me into a die-hard fan of his Fashion for Homme. The colours he uses this season are very interesting: muted tones from pastel to desert sand, all shades of greys, royale blue and even yellow and gold. Not only is he able to transform that incredibly ugly shade of dirty desert sand into something incredibly attractive, he was also able to combine that shade with gold and citric lemon yellow – both of which were often thought of as too flashy to be stylish. However, Ossendrijver was able to use the best of this combination to create this incredibly refined softness in an amazingly modern-yet-classically sophisticated collection, which is full of vision and that ultra masculine powerful strength. Ohhh… I love those aviator sunglassesgoggles. They are perfect for this season!
Ossendrijver has done an amazing job with layering. Mid-calf socks, sweaters and shorts for sure are something a man would wear and yet, he perfected the look to create a style that is incredibly sophisticated and yet keeping it down to earth and casual at the same time. I love how he can even make mid-calf socks look hot! I have not seen people pull that look off as easily and as refined as what Ossendrijver has shown here.
My favorite pieces from the show are those mid-calf socks; the sweater as worn by Alexandre Imbert; the big (rain) coats as worn by Felix (Nine Daughters and a Stereo), Gerhard Freidl and Yannick Mantele; skinny tie as worn by Gerhard Freidl and Rogier Bosschaart; and Trent Kendrick’s whole look! Ahhh… I want a Lanvin Homme NOW!
