Printed silk chiffon blouse by Day Birger et Mikkelsen
Mother’s day is just around the corner and although I am still quite caught up with RAFW, forgetting my mighty marvelous mother shall not be on the agenda this year. Detected on the fashion radar is none other than this beautifully printed silk-chiffon blouse (USD$260) by Danish label DAY Birger et Mikkelsen. It seems like this sheer blouse is made especially for my beloved one. Namely, its delicate light brown and green paisley print exudes subtle femininity; while the dreamy pastel-blue shade gives off an ever so calming aura – hence, capturing two of her most charming qualities altogether. Well… Is this made in heaven or what?
Available at net-a-porter.
P.S. This gift comes in extra handy in times of emergency wardrobe raids.

My Wildest Dreams...
Like a divine creature of nature, Dutch model Kim Noorda mesmerises all in Stella McCartney’s idyllic Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign for the British IT Designer’s lingerie collection. Under the spellbinding lens of Tim Barber, this set of intimate photographs, shot both at home and in the wild, conveys the purity of fresh natural beauty. Although Ms. McCartney did work a lot of racy laces into the collection, she kept the collection youthful and delightfully sweet without veering into an overtly sexy path. As simple as it is, how could anyone not go weak in the knees for this?

Belgian model Hanne Gaby Odiele wears Helmut Lang's Puckered lace detail dress.
Last month, we wrote about Helmut Lang’s exquisite Puckered Lace-Detail Dress ($425.00) available at Barneys, net-a-porter, La Garçonne, shopbop and Saks Fifth Avenue. Just as we thought we have included all the retailers of this drop dead gorgeous dress in the never-ending list, here comes one we have somehow missed: Neiman Marcus. Shown on Belgian model Hanne Gaby Odiele, the dress’s seductive power comes alive – modern, yet mysterious and magnificently youthful. Really – how could we resist Helmut Lang’s black magic?

Helmut Lang's Lovely Lace Dress
There are times when I have told myself not to blog about black dresses anymore – no matter how short, how little, how cool and pretty they are. However, when I spotted Helmut Lang’s Puckered Lace Dress (USD$425.00), I just could not resist. I had to break this rule – immediately! With its romantic draping and delicate lace detailing, this fitted asymmetric dress is simply a unique party must-have. Graceful and gorgeous regardless of which angle you see it through.
Available at Barneys, net-a-porter, La Garçonne, shopbop and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Emilio Pucci's New Nude
Peter Dundas of Emilio Pucci crafted a new sexy curve in the stimulating shade of nude for Spring/Summer 2010. Watch out! Ready or not – here comes his stunning and striking asymmetric cut-out and lace-up swimsuit (USD $645)! Surely, there’s nothing more provocative than this skin-flashing skin-coloured piece. Namely, playing with the perplexing visual effect using those crafty means of his, it is revealing in that distinctively dangerous and delightfully daring way – bringing us excitement of a new height!

Piercing eyes penetrate through our souls.
Even though the hottest ticket in town (a.k.a sales) is no longer valid at Lane Crawford, we are lured to step into the sweet-scented department store to discover the new season’s entrancing enticements up close and personal, while attempting to meet the ever so impeccable Ms. Sarah Rutson serendipitously and intimately for the trillionth time. The first and foremost origin of this forbidden temptation is none other than a sneak peek of the drop dead sexy Spring/Summer 2010 Ad campaign, entitled “The Portfolio”.

Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw in Alexander Wang's Resort Collection
It totally stinks that we were not able to find any good [1] Alexander Wang stuff at final sales anywhere at all! Argh… Did someone hide ‘em all for themselves – instead of benefitting the food good of the society? Seriously, do I really have to pay full price to wear one of those extremely cool but thin-as-nothing Tee from him? [2] Besides, you know what? Last season stock is actually quite appetising on me, despite being ‘old’ and ‘out of fashion’.

Richard Nicoll's sunny resort 2010 collection
When I first spotted Richard Nicoll’s sunny resort collection at Harvey Nichols, the ultra cool beverage of Orange Mocha Frappucino, as drunk by the four fantastic male models in the movie Zoolander (2001), immediately popped straight out of my mind. I like the warm, fuzzy and uplifting character of the collection. It truly radiates this “you make the sun shine brighter than Doris Day” character. Presented in the picture above are:

Zac Posen Cruise 2010
At first, I was not exactly sure about Zac Posen’s green and polka dotted vision for Cruise 2010. My first thought was: “What is it? Christmas in July with Santa camouflaged in the Safari Jungle?” But then, after seeing its adaptation on Bergdorf Goodman, I became rather fond of it. It’s sweet, fresh, young and chic – a combination that acts as a perfect charm for Cruise 2010, which we simply cannot get enough of now and forever!
Presented in the picture above are Zac Posen’s Shutter-Pleated Silk Blouse (USD $690.00 ) & Lace-Overlay Pencil Skirt (USD $990.00); Polka-Dot Knit Dress (USD $490.00); and Satin Cornelia Dress (USD $1,590.00). Available at Bergdorf Goodman, net-a-porter and Neiman Marcus.

Christopher Kane’s Crispy Eye-Candy
Christmas is coming soooo soon and you certainly cannot have enough sweet sweet candy over this festive season. If you still don’t have your poptastic party outfits ready for battle, then, let me show you Christopher Kane’s fantastic fall/winter 2009 collection once again. First on my agenda is the celebrated designer’s velvet stripe organza dress (also known as High Volume silk-organza dress on net-a-porter £1,291). This dress is simply the divine choice for lunches, tea parties and any day time activies you would have to attend. For dinner at home, Mr. Kane’s pretty pleated satin and organza A-line dress (a.k.a Hanna silk and velvet dress £1,291) is for sure ideal to swing around the kitchen. Then, to finish the evening off with a splendid night out, you definitely cannot miss the magnificent multi-velvet stripe shift dress (also known as sleeveless crazy stripe dress on net-a-porter £2,313). I just love the remarkable work on the dress, in particular the use of these marvellous metallic appliqué in the colours of sweet irresistible candy, which creates the striking statement for an unforgettable Christmas. Once again, merry Christmas, everyone!
Available at Luisa Via Roma and net-a-porter.
