Michael Kors Fall Winter Ready-to-wear Collection 2009
I decided to check out the Michael Kors coat collection, mainly because I wanted to find out the price of the shocking pink coat, which I saw at Harvey Nichols. I didn’t find the coat I was after, however, I did find three other statement coats for this fall/winter. Here they are from left to right:

Spotted at Harvey Nichols
@ Harvey Nichols:
- Everything looks so much better at Harvy Nichols. Is it the lighting? The golden wall paint? I just want everything!
- Roksanda Ilincic rocks with her remarkable collection!
- Cavalli calling with a captivating collection of stunning shoes and bags.
- Badgey Mischka is in the house, but isn’t it out?
- What on earth are people talking about? Nina Ricci’s collection, as seen on the racks, is so wearable.
- Close up, Michael Kors‘ neon colored collection is actually very charming. Be unforgettable by wearing his shocking pink coat!
- Mint has some superb nude outfits. 100% Sensual!

Magdalena Frackowiak, Karmen Pedaru, Noah Mills and Carmen Kass in Michael Kors
There is no surprise when the Estonian top model Carmen Kass opened the Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2010 show along with her good looking male entourage Noah Mills. As for every show by the celebrity-embraced fashion designer, this one exhibits his signature upbeat and optimistic attitude towards fashion and life.

From the Chessboard straight to the runway: Kass rules are here!
Estonia is a little Baltic country with a population of approximately 1,3 million [2007 statistics]. With a percentage of 68.8% being Estonian, this equates to approximately 920,000. Supposedly half of the population is female and that 1% of that number has the right looks and the right body shape and height to be a model (I heard the percentage is actually higher) and 10% of that is in the age range of 15-25 and another 5% of that has authorisation from their parents to be models and that 20% of that has the appropriate persistance, diligence and attitude to become runway sensations, this corresponds to just 4.6 Estonian girls. Rounding this up, the final number is circa 5, which I find is roughly the correct number of true blue successful Estonian models: Anett Griffel, Carmen Kass, Hedvig Marie Maigre, Karmen Pedaru and Tiiu Kuik.
Hence, Estonian models are, in a way, a rare species in the modelling industry.

I understand that my last entry was harsh, but oh please… it was unbearable seeing a collection like that. For me, there is nothing more delightful than to see Carmen and the gang rocking your collection and each season, the collection lives up to exceed the anticipation and the expectations; but this one is simply disappointing. Where is the real Michael? Please stand up!

I, hereby, attach one of my favorite campaigns with Carmen in hopes of re-living one of those creative moments some time again soon (for Carmen Kass campaigns, click here to visit miqrogroove).
Please take care.
Kind regards,

Michael Kors, the American designer, whose part time occupation as judge on the American hit reality TV Show “Project Runway” has boosted his status globally and consequently earned him a title amongst the idolised gang of superstars on the silver screen. Whilst all things concerning popularity may appear truly dazzling for Mr. Kors, I am not completely sure if his fall/winter 2009/10 collection, shown February 18 this year, was a fair portrayal of his work, which exhibits his eligibility as a role model for young aspiring designers.

In terms of design and construction, the show undeniably crossed path with the hottest European brand names of the moment and to a far extent, it almost seemed like the looks were shipped exactly as they were directly to New York for this special occasion.

All you Carmen Kass fans out there shall be delighted to find Ms. Kass in Mr. Kors Cruise campaign this season. The campaign itself is shot by the magnificent Mr. Mario Testino and the mossy blue-green shades this season is particularly delightful, embracing us in nature once again as it also brings a rush of fresh sea breeze brushing against the cheeks of our faces as we gaze onto the picture and dream of a cruise holiday on the boat with Ms. Kass, Mr. Mills and Mr. Kors. Ahhh… that’s perfection!

Belarusian Model Marina Linchuk
Dear Marinka,
I must admit, when you first came out, I thought you were just another model from Belarusia trying to make “it”. But as time passed, I realised how special we are to have you in the industry, because you truly rock and we just adore your charisma and personality.
I remember watching you on FTV* and you said that you take ginger and apple to stay healthy. How do you do that? Do you drink it as tea? Boil it? Fry it?
Hope you are enjoying fashion week, because I know I am. You looked so gorgeous at all the shows, and in particular Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta. Just like sunshine.
