Canadian Model Jessica Stam shows off Christian Diors Makeup Holiday Collection 2009
This is an elaboration on my last post in regards to making a fool out of myself in front of the ever so smart ‘n’ chic Chanel sales staff. For example: four weeks ago or so, I asked the flawless ladies at the makeup counter whether they sell that exquisite miniature cage, which Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana holds oh-so-divinely in the Chanel Christmas 2009 ad campaign. The paranormal look, which I found on her face, was certainly not the answer I was looking for. If Lanvin sells gorgeous porcelain dolls and Christian Dior hypnotises us with super striking Stam and the exquisite Swarovski crystal encrusted lipgloss/pendant; why does Chanel stay so everlastingly classical in terms of packaging the cosmetic line for special occasions like Christmas? Well… Afterall, it comes once a year only, no? Just a thought.

Martinique-born model Sigrid Agren for Yves Saint Laurent Holiday Look 2009
I know! I know! I know! It’s bad to change my mind so quickly. However, when confronting something oh so lovely as Yves Saint Laurent’s New Holiday Makeup collection, I’m just absolutely feeble as a flee! I love how in your face the holiday look, as shown by Martinique model Sigrid Agren, is! It says strong, bold and confident, like nobody else does and I adore everything about it – from the flawless use of pure colour to create this rich vibrant look to the raw energy it exudes! Everything is rich, sensual and immaculately powerful! Chanel Christmas look? Sorry, no, thanks! Not anymore! Yves Saint Laurent’s holiday collection is truly what I want for Christmas!
