I was pleasantly surprised when I spotted an Asian face opening Roland Mouret’s Spring/Summer 2010 Show. That just comes to show the fashion world truly appreciates all kind of beauties from all corners of the world. Viva la Difference! Liu Wen was the name of the Chinese model, who graced Mr. Mouret’s glamorous runway as first face. Dressed in a deep V-necked dress in champagne gold with glimmering excess jewellery, Ms. Liu lighted up the illustrious runway with her grace and seductive Eastern appeal.

Narciso Rodriguez Fall/Winter Ready-to-wear 2009/10 New York
I usually like Narciso Rodriguez’s vision, but this season, perhaps not so much.
Neon and sparkly seem to be the key trend for F/W 2009/10. I am fine with the sparkles, because I do believe it could look great if executed correctly. What I am not so sure of is whether these eye-popping candy-like colours go so hand in hand with Mr. Rodriguez’s own aesthetics. Despite all efforts, all I see in my eyes is plumpness on the runway.
