Taking that term literally, photographer and editor in chief of Self ServiceEzra Petronio has captured Ms. Kass through an indifferent light in this set of rather provocative photographs for the magazine’s Spring/Summer 2010 issue. Styled by the ingenious Suzanne Koller, the star of the editorial is seen dressed in the season’s hottest and rawest utilitarian pieces from Alexander Wang, A.P.C., Chloé, Céline, Balmain, Emilio Pucci to Hermès. Sarar Spring/Summer Ready-to-wear 2010 Ad Campaign
For Spring/Summer 2010, Estonian model Carmen Kass teams up with the dandy Brit David Gandy for Sarar’s ad campaign. Amongst a sleek concrete backdrop, the handsome pair shows off the epitome of extreme elegance for the 62 year old Turkish fashion label. Known especially for the swell quality of their menswear, the Spring/Summer 2010 collection prides itself of its sharp tailored cuts that is smart, light and loveable. Along with an equally sophisticated womenswear collection, Sarar’s man and woman certainly is a heavenly match for each other.
As a way to say Happy Easter to you all, we present to you the golden egg in our basket: Robert’s 2003 golden edition of Carmen Kass sashaying down the glamorous runway in skimpy little lingerie at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2003. An oldie but goodie that has been dusted off the radar, we hope that you will enjoy this festive season (and the video, too!) as much as the illcit fun Robert had when editing it.

Perhaps it’s the golden rays she sends out each season at Chloé, I’m actually warming up to Hannah MacGibbon – Creative Director of the French Luxury Fashion House. Well… It’s not the most avant-garde show I have ever seen, but nonetheless, it’s delightful and it’s desirable! With this winning combination, I am confident that Chloé’s financial matters will be enjoying quite a pleasant ride in the forthcoming fall.

Dreamy clothes in dreamy colours worn by a dreamy heaven body make up for a dreamy ad campaign for Swedish fashion chain Lindex. Under the lens of photographer Jimmy Backius, Estonian model Carmen Kass is the mighty goddess of love in the heavenly set of Lindex Spring/Summer 2010 Ad Campaign. The collection predominantly works with eighties, early nineties and a dose of Bohemian influences in a discreetly clean yet incredibly soft and feminine way. Styled by Marina Kereklidou, Ms. Kass, the heaven-sent modern Venus, radiates a fresh breeze bringing us phenomenally beautiful looks to die for.

Alexis Mabille’s Spring/Summer Haute Couture show 2010 is certainly something that I did not expect to see at first glance. No frills. No pretty bows. No lace. The show opened with Belarusian model Olga Sherer dressed in the French designer’s bi-colour pant suit look. As oppose to what the Lyon-born designer had been doing famously, this is certainly something new and fresh.
Estonian model Olga Serova turns up the heat by playing the ultimate seductress showing off the most-wanted La Perla Black Label gear in the Italian brand’s Ad Campaign for 2009. The collection features a sizzling load of pieces, which plays along to the luxurious and fashionable lingerie label’s values and principles – original, authentic, edgy and always pushing the boundaries. For 2009, the look of the season carries different moods and vibes that are both surprising and intriguing: red light, night club, bowlerhat, lipstick, cabaret and money money. With no doubt, the decision to take home the entire collection is the ultimate desired solution of all!

Although I don’t feel anything different since the arrival of 2010 – because let’s face it, I had been writing about Fashion for Spring/Summer 2010 since July last year – it is important to set goals so that we start on the right foot on the right track and don’t get lost on the way. For me, my only New Year’s resolution for this year would be to bring blogyul in full swing. It doesn’t sound like much to do, but it’s always easy to say and difficult to do, no? I hope that I could get into the swing of it with pride and joy.
