I hear a lot of people complaining about the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign, but really, to me, it’s just perfection. The power collage-style with models overlapping each other in a criss-cross way is pretty playful. Accompanied accordingly by splashes of sizzling colours like citric yellow, fanta orange and lime green amidst the clean so-not-boring grey background, this set of photographs by Steven Meisel just screams fresh in a larger than life way to me. That’s Balenciaga, baby!

The Individualist(s) by Luise & Franck Autumn/Winter Ready-to-wear 2010/11 Tokyo
Commencing with a distinctively dark soundtrack of “Shake that devil” by the band Antony And The Johnsons, German designer Luise Schwarze and French designer Franck Pouchoulin’s collection for their label The Individualist(s) place a focus on the idea of lost time, as a man looks back to his lost childhood and reminisce the feeling of being free and protected.

Prada Spring/Summer Ready-to-wear 2010/11 Milan
To be perfectly honest with you all, this season, I am more in love with Prada’s menswear line than with its womenswear collection. A walk through the brightly-lit store space complete with racks and racks of spring/summer goodies, this feeling just intensifies even more so. If I could, I would have certainly done a grabsweep-and-run, regardless of whether the pieces actually flatter me or not. Well… Yes, sir, yes! I’m crazy! I’m crazy in love!

Céline Fall/Winter Ready-to-wear 2010/11 Paris
One sleepy “morning”, my friend woke me up from my most wanted and most needed beauty sleep to tell me to urgently check out Garance Dore’s video of Céline’s show. At first, I was doubtful. I mean was it really that powerful, that worthy to disrupt the most valued activity of my day? Moreover, does it truly live up to all the hypes and expectations? Well… Well… Well… To my surprise, Ms. Philo’s show for Céline was indeed everything of the above description and even more.

Proenza Schouler pre-fall 2010
A quick look at Proenza Schouler’s Fall/Winter 2010/11 show, the designer duo Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough’s effort for pre-fall 2010 made sense as a prelude to the stunning show, which turned the inferno of sexuality to a sizzling extreme.

Marni Men Spring/Summer Ready-to-wear 2010 Milan
Dutch model Rogier Bosschaart rightly presents this eccentric artistic collection from the Italian fashion label Marni. For Spring/Summer 2010, designer Consuelo Castiglioni has given Marni men nice functional pieces in a diverse range of colours – predominantly, a sensible palette infused with a slight hint of citric yellow.
