I just love Versace’s show, because it’s not for every man. It’s for hot man only! For Spring/Summer 2010, Donatella Versace presented a light collection that is sleek, sophisticated and so so so super sexy. The colours used range from crisp white, camel, peachy nudes, grey then finally, black. This gradual transition of colours perfectly mirrors a man’s wardrobe from day to night during the spring summer season – light colours for day and black for the evening time. The essence of the collection for me is in the precision in tailoring and a conspicuous confidence – drowned in the luxurious Italian fashion label’s distinctive lavish style from head to toe. Shown by a parade of muscular models - complete with delicious 6-packs - catwalking along to the cool beats of The Rakes22 Grand Job and The MaccabesX-ray vision, the runway presentation was an infectious affair that gets me catwalking out of the venue wishing that I have Lenz in my arms.

How high can you go?

Higher than sky-high heels from Versace's Fall/Winter 2009/10 Collection

Higher than sky-high heels from Versace's Fall/Winter 2009/10 Collection

When I first saw these amazing shoes from Donatella Versace’s Fall/Winter 2009/10 collection, I immediately asked myself how high can I go? Well… Never made for the weak, these va-va-voom higher than sky high heels are certainly made strictly for the stylish bees! I love how they could work great with trousers, skirts, dresses and even evening gowns. My favourite pairs are the peep-toe shoes in lila as well as the pretty pumps in scarlet red. Being a part of the glam squad would no doubt be a piece of cake when you are in Versace!

In other news regarding the extravagant Italian fashion house, not only has three of its stores closed down in Japan due to the immense effect the economic crisis had over there, but also job cuts has being announced: 26 percent of its worldwide work force would be cut by the mid of next year [1]. That is 350 employees out of the original of about 1,360 would lose their jobs. Well… This is certainly not the very best of times for family businesses, but as Ms. Versace said: “I AM a survivor” [2], I am certain the house would live on in sky-high style.

I had wanted to post this pic for a while… but then, because Felix is so irresistibly sexy, I started really starring at this pic and I saw a tint of resemblance that reminds me of my former former boss. Sooo freaky! After that I gave up the idea of posting the pic until today. Well… After that glorious post on the Divine Donatella, I just want more and more Versace posts. However, with so many posts for Versace donna, it just seems write to switch a little and post something about Versace Uomo. Well… Without further ado, here comes Felix in Versace! All for the love of what else but our favorite Italian brand – Versace!

Donatella’s Divine Deed

Donatella Versace Charity Tote Bags

Versace Canvas Tote Bags

I always knew Donatella Versace is a good woman, who not only is rich with lots of good fortune, but also rich with lots of love for children and society. I first spotted these lovely Charity Tote Bags at Lane Crawford, which not only caught my attention when I walked by, but also as I observed, loads of other people as well. It seems like success is well assurred for Versace’s charity project.

The idea of this charity, in fact, originated a few years ago when Ms. Versace’s met Chinese actor Jet Li, who told the creative fashion designer about the extent of damage the 2004 Tsunami caused in East Asia. In an interview by Rebecca Dana for The Daily Beast, Ms. Versace provided us an insight into her glamorous life and spoke about what the rollercoaster-like past has taught her and how it made her stronger today. Below are two excerpts from the interview.

It [the 2004 Tsunami] was terrible. I was so touched,” Versace says. “The priority in my life changed. It really pushed me to do something different. It changes life completely this experience. You want to do something for other people, especially the children.”

Versace speaks emotionally, even personally, about the psychological strain children suffer in times of tragedy. “I think the most important thing for children is not only food,” she says, “but to get over post-trauma stress, which is most important injury you have. All of a sudden to see everything disappear from her life, lose her parents, lose her siblings, the family, and try to forget—not to forget, you can never forget, but to try to get over this tragedy, you know.” It makes sense, considering her own life history. She says she thinks of Gianni every day. “I never look back,” she says. “It’s very hard for me to look at the past, but the past is inside me, of course, because I was there.”

As a result, Versace established Art Unites to support children in the United States and China. Children, who have suffered traumatic experiences, received therapy through visual arts. 1400 children took part in this project, entitled “friendship”, to create one of a kind Versace canvas tote bags. The result is an adorable-and-fashionable collection, which not only brightens our days with the sugar sweet visual images, but also the children’s lives, as 100% of the proceeds from the sales of these brilliant bags will be donated to Starlight Children’s Foundation and One Foundation.

It is certainly good to know that you are not only looking good in Versace, but also doing something good for the community.

It is no wonder the sexy Italian label is loaded with fans of all social status – from rock stars to supermodels to me. We all hail: “Versace forever and ever!”

Va Va Voom Versace!

Carmen Kass in Versace Eyewear

Versaces Vision to the Future

The people, who view Ms. Versace as merely a typical blonde, is utterly underestimating the power of blondness, as she once again exhibits a praise-worthy collection that silently screams out: “Is there anything Donatella cannot do?”
