Estonian model Carmen Kass stars in Lindex Spring/Summer 2010 Ad Campaign
Dreamy clothes in dreamy colours worn by a dreamy heaven body make up for a dreamy ad campaign for Swedish fashion chain Lindex. Under the lens of photographer Jimmy Backius, Estonian model Carmen Kass is the mighty goddess of love in the heavenly set of Lindex Spring/Summer 2010 Ad Campaign. The collection predominantly works with eighties, early nineties and a dose of Bohemian influences in a discreetly clean yet incredibly soft and feminine way. Styled by Marina Kereklidou, Ms. Kass, the heaven-sent modern Venus, radiates a fresh breeze bringing us phenomenally beautiful looks to die for.

Let's get into the swing of it with Carmen Kass!
Although I don’t feel anything different since the arrival of 2010 – because let’s face it, I had been writing about Fashion for Spring/Summer 2010 since July last year – it is important to set goals so that we start on the right foot on the right track and don’t get lost on the way. For me, my only New Year’s resolution for this year would be to bring blogyul in full swing. It doesn’t sound like much to do, but it’s always easy to say and difficult to do, no? I hope that I could get into the swing of it with pride and joy.

Danish model Mathias Lauridsen fronts Bruuns Bazaar Spring Summer 2010 Ad Campaign
Nothing gives me more pleasure than blogging about three of the things I love the most in the entire world: Mathias Lauridsen Carmen Kass, Bruuns Bazaar and last but not least, Mathias Lauridsen. For Spring/Summer 2010, the Danish label’s allure is once again captured at its most desirable state under the lens of the Danish photographer Henrik Bülow. Amidst a poetic setting by the beach, life in Bruuns Bazaar’s world is beautiful and love is bliss! We love how simple and simply chic the different pieces of the collection are. Assembled together, the whole collection reflects a distinctively laid back attitude; yet it retains a style of its own. I love the infusion of leatherwear into the collection. It gives off a strong persona that is a little bit on the wild side, yet, also soft and feminine through its finishing touches. This is the life!

Estonian model Carmen Kass stares in Mogg’s Fall Winter 2009 Ad campaign
The extraordinary Estonian model Carmen Kass stares in the fabulous Fall/Winter 2009/10 ad campaign for Korean fashion label Mogg and we just love everything about it – from the presentation of the ad campaign to the actual clothes! There is this distinctive sense of architectural structuralism built into the construction of the clothes to create this super sleek silhouette for an incredibly sophisticated and sexy look. “I love being a real woman and dressing for the part,” says Ms. Kass. “It’s about style, not fashion.” Two pieces that you must not miss are the cape coat and the luxurious fur coat. Smart and chic, no?

Strictly in your face!
This is a true story and it happened a few days ago, while I was on the train. I don’t know if you are one of those people, but every time you get a seat on the train/subway, do you start thinking everything is going to be fine? Well… I am one of those people, but now I know I was wrong. It happened when I had sat comfortably and at peace on my seat for like at least a good 20 minutes. Deep asleep, I was completely off guard, but then, all of a sudden, we arrived at a stop; and this chatterbox housewife lady, who was standing perpendicularly next to me, suddenly remembered that this is her stop, so she quickly said goodbye to her friend and bent down to pick up her grocery bags. However, as she did so, her fat nice and rounded bum was right in my face. Ohhh… Thank god, she is not wearing this season’s ultra-mini-dresses! Otherwise, I don’t know what I should wash my eyes with to restore my vision ever again.

Dear Victoria’s Secret,
Thank you for the increased Sheila appearances, as requested last year. I am happy to see Alessandra is back as well. After the spectacular TV show in December, I set out to choose my favorite model for 2009. Several contenders, including Behati, Flavia, Inguna, and Shannan, nearly deposed Stam from this great honor. Carmen’s walk and catalog photos also made the year feel complete. Ultimately, Sheila Márquez is my favorite for now.
Yulya wanted to add her very sophisticated thoughts, but I think she is a bit jealous star-struck when it comes to the topic of gorgeous Victoria’s Secret personnel! She is grateful to see my top model choice return to the European continent, and approves highly of Sheila’s latest photo sample.

Spotted at Seibu.
@ Seibu:
- Drykorn. The placement of the collection is scattered at the moment. Nonetheless, delightful to see this German brand in the house, because it adds that edgy street-wise street-style to the glossy uptight store.
- Danish label Bruuns Bazaar’s knitwear runs wildly attractive.
- By Malene Birger, the eponymous label from Copenhagen, is all glam and glittery this fall.
- Day Birger et Mikkelsen’s delicate tulip coat is all you need to survive this fall/winter.

Magdalena Frackowiak, Karmen Pedaru, Noah Mills and Carmen Kass in Michael Kors
There is no surprise when the Estonian top model Carmen Kass opened the Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2010 show along with her good looking male entourage Noah Mills. As for every show by the celebrity-embraced fashion designer, this one exhibits his signature upbeat and optimistic attitude towards fashion and life.

What Yulya X would roughly look like in a crowd if she stands next to Carmen Kass
A few nights ago, I had a dream. Since it involves two key fashion people in my life – Robert a.k.a DJ Miqrogroove and Carmen a.k.a. Ms. Cat – I decided to blog it, even though it probably is a very ordinary fanatic fan dream.
In my dream, Rusya, Robert and I were sightseeing around somewhere that looks like the Golden Gate Bridge.
After a relatively lengthy climb to reach the insignificant slope “mountainous” slope with much difficulty admirable sportsmanship and perseverence, we were so happy to have finally reached the mid section of the bridge.
As we were trying to retrieve our breathe, the crowd on the bridge cleared up simultaneously and out of the mist, stood who else but our heroine – the statesque Pirelli Kass?
Although we would all have loved to share and exchange intelligence with the avid chess-playing Estonian model, we were intimidated and immobilised by how catty Ms. Cat appeared and were forced to leave her alone, as her razor sharp expressions told us to [1].
As I stole a glance at her, while walking past that unmistakable 5′11 frame, Robert grabbed the magnificent moment and snapped a shot of us in the same frame while pretending to be taking a shot of the bridge. Is that not sweet?
But as Robert suggested when I shared this dream with him, is it not better to make a Carmen sandwich? Mmm…
I will dream harder next time for sure!
Endnote:
[1] I have not met Carmen Kass nor have I ever had any contact with her ever. So my point of view is purely out of my own imagination.

@ Lindtner, a “fine” food store: a fly circling the air above sultana bread and after 5 seconds, made a smooth landing then took off again.
@ Everywhere: Lots of people, not only hobos, looking into rubbish bin. Is that really a secret gold and diamond mine?
@ Busstop: Girl spraying perfume while driving. What a multi-task marvel?
@ S-Bahn: A guy, with blonde hair, dressed in chic creamy white suit with a huge canon camera around his neck. Have a feeling he is Mr. Satorialist because of the size of his camera. Is it?
@ Bus & In Bus: A French guy [1] who looks like a cross between Vinnie and Mathias, i.e. Vinnie’s face and Mathias’ haircut. A real gentleman, too, because he let me on the bus first – something that I have not done in Germany since I arrived actually. Awww…
@ Bus stop outside KaDeWe: Man with full length fur coat complete with a cowboy’s hat in the middle end of June.
@ Strenesse: All about tailoring and the magic touch!
@ St. Emile: Structures, colours and a conspicuous lightness.
@ Etro: Byzantium-inspired collection looks even better in real life, especially those delectable scarves. Exquisite details. Vibrant colours, vibrant life!
@ Somewhere in KaDeWe: The possible reason why a certain American label beginning with B is so affordable is because its quality is third rate.
@ Casualwear/KaDeWe: American vintage tank tops at 39.95 euros each – the ultimate price for wearing wrinkly and being cool.
@ KaDeWe: somebody [2] snatching catalogs/lookbooks, like a true thief.
@ Shoes/KaDeWe: Casadei’s towering chunky wedges with metallic lattice work, like YSL’s spring/summer 2009 IT shoes. Sales price at a whopping 479 euros.
@ Menswear floor: men getting their shoes polished. Something they like a lot for sure?
@ Perfume Floor: Had a Flora by Gucci accident. It all went on my fingers. A real stink.
@ Max & Co.: No (wo)man’s land! Who exactly are their customers anyway?
@ Bus stop: passed by woman with smoky voice like Carmen, thought it was a man; then took a glimpse: 100% Femme not even any signs of being a tranny.
@ M45 Bus: Invisible woman [3] getting squashed by American tourist, who is the same size as Homie [4].
@ Bus (again): a guy who looks like Maxxie from Skins – the exact same haircut. So cute!
@ Bus: man wearing Givenchy pour Homme perfume. Found him attractive by smell and wanted to kiss him, even though he is so macho.
[1] I know because a “French” couple conversed with him (for directions?) in what I believe is “French”. The guy from the couple looks strikingly like Mr. Sarkozy actually. Weird, huh?
[2] a.k.a me.
[3] This is me, too!
[4] This refers to Homer Simpson.
