Ukrainian model Alyona Osmanova in Marc by Marc Jacobs’ Miss Marc T-Shirt in black
Ok. To be honest, if this set of Marc by Marc Jacobs’ Miss Marc Tee and my Luella Tee fall into the ocean simultaneously and both were soon to be mercilessly attacked and eaten by a big ugly shark, I would… rescue my Luella Tee! Of course! With that being said, I don’t think Mr. Jacobs will send me a free T-Shirt, ohhh… my last hope is on Ms. Bartley for sure. Nonetheless, although Miss Marc is not for me, I really like how Alyona wears it. So young, so fresh, so adorable! Let’s forget all about Spring/Summer 2010 for a little white. Let’s skip back to Cruise 2010. I mean I know I should really blog about something more recent; but I just cannot put this off any longer. I am in love with Jonathan Saunders’ Cruise Collection 2010. Particularly, seeing Hanne Gaby in these explosively vibrant clothes is just amazing. She just looks so light and youthful in this optimistic collection. Looking back, I think this is definitely the perfect prelude for spring/summer 2010.

Lily Donaldson is the Face of Joop!
I know Lily’s fans are just going to hate me, but I have to say it: I hate it! I hate it! I just hate it! This season’s faces (Lily Donaldson and Sean O’pry) with all their respective mega status and perfect looks just turn me off. There is nothing I hate more than looking at over-the-top beautiful people. Thank god, they only have 4 images in the lookbook – all of the rest are glorious runway images. Juhu!

The season was spring/summer 2003. That was the season when I first discovered the magical fantastic world of Fashion and you know what? Cacharel was one of the first houses that I first loved. At least 5 whole years have passed and lots have occurred to my life as well as within the France-based fashion house with the change of appointment in creative director twice. Although Cacharel has been quite quiet recently, evident of this is that the collections have unfortunately not been featured on style.com since Spring/Summer 2003 (link), the house does not cease to produce things that I simply adore.

I had been looking forward to seeing the entire Jil Sander collection for awhile and now that I have seen this display of purely remarkable creation, I feel a little scared about writing about it, because it is simply amazing! If I don’t write enough, I do not focus enough on the collection; and if I write too much, I will kill the simplicity of an iconique Jil Sander Collection.
While any references are made in a minimal fashion, which in turn allows the ingenious Simons to exhibit his freedom to be inspired by the moment; the philosophy of the German fashion house to focus on elements of purity is no doubt present in this season’s collection as well.
I love the show, because it is very twisted in a peek-a-boo way! It really plays with the viewers of the clothes in that obscure manner. The hypersexual element is very minimal but when tuned to the right channel, it is very voluminous and so powerful, which makes it fit to be presented in the city that is no stranger to sex and not inferior to other collections presented there. The black stretch bodysuits with silken skeins of fringing drapping down accentuate every curve of a woman’s body perfectly and eroticise it to present a look that is simply understated in a sensual sexual way yet elegant and chic, see Polish Model Magdalena Frackowiak in her first outfit. In fact, the entire look is balanced ingeniously with an equal emphasis on the back of the various pieces. Some of which are opened up bare or draped with silken skeins of fringing – perhaps symbolising a sort of opening up as Simons brings us to venture with him into a brand new world that is incredibly streamlined and modern.
