Overexposed? That’s certainly the way that the Carmen Kass fan club would love to see the super idolised Estonian top model. Taking that term literally, photographer and editor in chief of Self Service Ezra Petronio has captured Ms. Kass through an indifferent light in this set of rather provocative photographs for the magazine’s Spring/Summer 2010 issue. Styled by the ingenious Suzanne Koller, the star of the editorial is seen dressed in the season’s hottest and rawest utilitarian pieces from Alexander Wang, A.P.C., Chloé, Céline, Balmain, Emilio Pucci to Hermès. Polaroids perfect!

Brilliance in a Bag
The new fall collection has just arrived at Mrs H and what do we find? Magnificene once again! The bags, in particular, are simply a must-buy! Get it, when it’s still hot and fresh from the style oven! I love it even more that Mrs. H has this new payment plan, which I can pay in installments. Ohhh… Mrs. H, you certainly can read minds! Shown in the picture above from left to right are my dream bags:
- Jil Sander Brown Glossy Bag, SEK 9,500.00 (link) – I just love the old school style and the fact that you can hold it by the handles or wear it by the straps. So understated, so stylish, so charming!
- See by Chloé Rise & Shine Tote Bag in Terracotta, SEK 5,295.00 (link) – This gold-toned terracotta shade is so rich and beautiful. Simply irresistible!
- Alexander Wang Donna Hobo Bag in Black, SEK 9,950.00 (link) – Biker chic is simply incomplete without this brilliant bag!

Get Moussy!
Originally, this post was supposed to be about those pants I spotted the other day, which had a print that looks very much like Alexander McQueen’s signature dogtooth print. However, instead of accusing Moussy of being a copycat, I found something that shows that they are actually quite shop-worthy as its own. So here goes Moussy’s terrific three (from left to right):
- As we all have seen from the recent Spring/Summer 2010 shows, tight pants are fading away and we are seeing a new wave of oversized and baggy pants with a skinny cut around the legs. These mid-calf trousers fall perfectly into that category. I especially like the zipper detail on the side.
- When I first saw this zip up skirt, I immediately thought of Alexander Wang meeting Versace. 100% urban sexy!
- Half-visible, half-invisible – these sexy black lace leggings show us the power of seduction.
Available at Moussy’s webstore.

Dear Alexander Wang
Dear Alex, in-house designers and associates,
Never in my life have I imagined myself saying this, but with the evident of the recent growing amount of posts on your celebrated fashion label, I am proud to say: you are really starting to grow on me and I am starting to like you and your work more and more. Your Cruise 2010 Collection is in fact perfectly charming and I believe it is perfect for me. I love how you kept the collection so urban – casual, but so sophisticated and sexy! Something that sounds so easy to achieve, but in fact is no piece of cake.

Alexander Wang Spring/Summer Ready-to-wear 2010
Honestly, when Alexander Wang, the 25-year-old designer, first became officially established, I never really felt that he was up for the title. Due to his youthful appearance, I always felt that he might not be a serious designer; but I was so wrong. He is just truly talented. What a visionary? The real turning point for me was when I watched one of his interviews at saksfifthavenue.com, which really demonstrated his true passion for the clothes he creates and that really made me believe in him. I appreciate his work even more now that I know more about his aesthetics and I fully understand why Freja is all “Ja! Ja!” for his clothes.
