Eddie Klint teams up with All American beauty Jacquelyn Jablonski in Selected’s ad campaign this Spring/Summer 2010. Heading the ad campaign for the Copenhagen-based fashion label a second time, Mr. Klint looks confident and cool – like the man we all die to hang out with. The collection shows off an amazing array of easy peasy pieces in neutral shades that look smart and stylish. What I felt is the key to this collection is this sense of serenity, harmony and romance – these elements come together complementarily in a way that felt natural yet luxurious. Under the lens of photographer Jimmy Backius, Estonian model Carmen Kass is the mighty goddess of love in the heavenly set of Lindex Spring/Summer 2010 Ad Campaign. The collection predominantly works with eighties, early nineties and a dose of Bohemian influences in a discreetly clean yet incredibly soft and feminine way. Styled by Marina Kereklidou, Ms. Kass, the heaven-sent modern Venus, radiates a fresh breeze bringing us phenomenally beautiful looks to die for.

This post is really far overdue. Looking back now, I really don’t understand why it took me an entire year so long to write it, because Turkish designer Ziko Başeskioğlu’s message for 2008 is simple: a bold feast of exotic colours and amazing body-conscious fits for a blissful swim. Slovakian model Zuzana Gregorova, with her fresh beauty and gorgeous curves, shows off Zeki Triko’s sizzling swim gear amidst a sleek idyllic set design complete with a perfect blue sky and clean architectural shapes. Incredibly modern yet aesthetically charming!

Russian models Ranya Mordanova and Arthur Daniyarov team up for a hip young ad campaign for the Spanish retail giant Zara’s young casual line TRF. Fear not these wild black and white images, although they may remind you of the rebellious attitude from the movie Rebel without a Cause (1955) – featuring the ever so cool James Dean. Incredible individuality is what we praise precisely in this amazing ad campaign. Brilliant rock ‘n’ roll denim pieces paired with understated leather jackets finished off with bold metallic jewellery are unquestionably the key ingredient to success this season. Celebrate youth!

Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy
Although between Robert and I, we could make a million cheeky jokes about Givenchy’s new fragrance ad campaign for Eaudemoiselle (starting with whether the perfume should be named “eaudepond” or in the park “avec la cape de vampire”?); we know that seriously speaking: we love this daunting and haunting photograph of Polish model Magdalena Frackowiak by Liz Collins (and that above all, we secretly want Magda to bite us intensely and passionately!). The campaign perfectly portrays Givenchy’s dark yet romantic style, while exemplifying the French House’s core aristocratic values as well as its couture spirit as founded by couturier Hubert de Givenchy. Rose is accordingly the chief composition of Eaudemoiselle to create the imagery of “flower bathed in morning dew”.
Get ready! Eaudemoiselle is set to release in the first half of 2010.
