Double in Brass by The Lake & Stars for Urban Outfitters
Are you ready? Out tomorrow (Monday, 10 May 2010) at Urban Outfitters is an exclusive lingerie collection from New York based label The Lake & Stars. The collaborative collection entitled “Double in Brass” features quite a lovely range by designer duo Maayan Zilberman and Nikki Dekker. Photographed by Tom Hines, the images of the lookbook show off the collection’s streamlined silhouette under an unbelievably fresh and youthful way. I, myself, certainly cannot wait to get my hands on those brilliant body suits. I wouldn’t be shy to wear those sweet bra tops as outerwear.
Day 5 of RAFW: Miss Unkon Spring/Summer Collection 2010/11
Circuit running fashionistas may have been über-tired on Day 5 of RAFW, but it was certainly worth running around in the highest sky high heels ever to see Miss Unkon’s Spring/Summer 2010/11 show. Designer Courtney Meyer opened the show with Olympic Ribbon Dancer Naazmi Johnston doing those unbelievable moves of her amidst the playfully decorated venue. Waving a pink ribbon gracefully in her hand, it was as if she had the wizard’s magic wand, with which she entranced the audience into a dreamy state to be in the right frame of mind for the upcoming display of absolute gorgeousness.
Like a divine creature of nature, Dutch model Kim Noorda mesmerises all in Stella McCartney’s idyllic Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign for the British IT Designer’s lingerie collection. Under the spellbinding lens of Tim Barber, this set of intimate photographs, shot both at home and in the wild, conveys the purity of fresh natural beauty. Although Ms. McCartney did work a lot of racy laces into the collection, she kept the collection youthful and delightfully sweet without veering into an overtly sexy path. As simple as it is, how could anyone not go weak in the knees for this?

As if luring me with its exotic bright colours and its flamboyant jungle inspiration are not enough, the Swedish fashion chain Lindex presents its Spring/Summer 2010 swimwear, lingerie and party dress collection with Estonian model Carmen Kass. Whether dressed in the brand’s urban and sophisticated dresses, enticing lingerie pieces or playful and colourful swimwear collection, Ms. Kass perfectly brings out the lively positive energy of the heated season in a relaxed yet graceful and extraordinarily refined way. Fusing dreamy with pure divinity, Lindex’s collection is a genuine delight of the spring summer season!

Dutch model Marloes Horst continues to raise the mercury with sizzling print work. This time, the Pirelli Calendar girl shows off the season’s hottest and coolest lingerie and swimwear pieces for Myla – the London based womenswear label. Sensual lounging in Myla’s exquisite loungewear and lingerie pieces yet steamy in Myla’s blazing hot swimwear; Marloes shows that she owns these seductive looks her way. Other than working with Myla for Spring/Summer 2010, Marloes is also the star of Princesse Tam Tam’s pretty girly ad campaign. Well… Baby’s surely on fire!
As a way to say Happy Easter to you all, we present to you the golden egg in our basket: Robert’s 2003 golden edition of Carmen Kass sashaying down the glamorous runway in skimpy little lingerie at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2003. Earlier this February, we looked at 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Initials lookbook for Spring/Summer 2010 and drooled over its sugar-filled sexiness. Today, we meet the lovely lingerie collection once again in the vast spaces of the lavish Department store Lane Crawford. Whether seeing it on the doll, on the models in the press photos or alone as itself, the collection exudes youth and elegance with a sense of health and well-being. Sportswear has, no doubt, placed a hale and hearty dose of influence on the collection making us wanna forget all about our outerwear and just run out of the house in 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Initials lingerie.
Patrizia Pepe showcases a young, flirty and utterly sexy lingerie collection for fall/winter 2009. Working predominantly with diaphanous tulle mesh and a touch of lace trimmings, the collection shows off a gorgeous body under the light of its playful peek-a-boo effect. The seductive shades of black and fiery fuchsia red are the principal colours of the bold and beautiful collection. In addition to featuring exquisite intimate pieces, like the Helisa Hegel triangle bra; the collection brings out some practical, mono-coloured, sweatpants looks to keep us warm and stylish.
