It’s not every day that I fall madly in love with a fashion label in a matter of micro seconds, but it certainly looks like this is such a shameless case today. Namely, Peter Jensen’s Spring/Summer Ready-to-wear 2010 collection is simply fantastic! Running high on the innovation factor, the Danish-born designer’s signature is his mischievous touch on each piece of the collection creating something slightly twisted, but always youthful and super refined.

All Hail McQueen

Magnificence from McQueen
Spring into Spring 2010 with a splash of colours in honour of the late Designer Alexander McQueen. The legendary Brit’s paint splash jeans ($570.00) are indisputably a unique piece that not only looks great, but also an inimitable keeper that speaks colourful tones of explicit individuality regardless of age and season. His bi-colour stripe cotton t-shirt ($315.00) is, similarly, fantastic with its masterful applications of painterly strokes in orange and blue - bringing the ferocious image of a lively wild tiger to mind.

when the sun doesn’t shine
Other than dying to buy Alexander McQueen’s red ombre scarf dress, another item that I am absolutely tempted to take home is his red laminated jeans (USD $895.00 $354.00). I love this peculiar visual effect on the jeans. It shapes and sculpts the legs oh so lean and lovely as well as giving them a dreamlike super perfect fit! The glistening laminated touch all over the trousers also gives off a glamorous allure, which I just love! When the sun doesn’t shine, be a knight in Mr. McQueen’s shining armor!
Available at Alexander McQueen.

Spotted
@ Womenswear/Lane Crawford:
- Inside Out has arrived! There is not a great variety – but some nice Trompe d’oeil tops ($2500 HKD) and pants ($2900 HKD). So so soooo special!
- Cheap Monday sexy black lace leggings. ($449 HKD)
- Is Dorian Ho the Hong Kong’s Marchesa?
- Ksubi also has a love heart Tee. ($1200 HKD)
- Alexander McQueen dress placed in the podium has the true “WOWWWWW” effect.
- Up close, the details in Schumacher’s collection are so nice. Great use of bejewelled embellishments, like those sweet twin buttons and the stones and love heart deco. Truly made with love!
- See by Chloé has a love heart tee ($890 HKD). Less cool than the one from Ksubi’s actually.
- DVF feels outdated.
- Lanvin has an eye and lashes bag. So cool ‘n’ chic.
- Black flats from Chloé with super large bow. Mmm…
@ Menswear/Lane Crawford:
- @ Marc Jacobs: Go-go gold jacket!
- @ Helmut Lang: nice tees from Helmut Lang and Atsuo Boris for Helmut Lang ($1300 HKD).
- @ Jeans department: Ksubi seems like the “IT” thing. Those famous crosses are on fire!
- @ the elegantly-decorated jeans department, I overheard a customer’s sudden exclamation: “I don’t like jeans with so many buttons. It’s hard to p**!”.

Spiral Girl Metallic Silver Jeans
I know. I know. I know. Mums are the best! Not only do they know you the best, they also almost-always provide you with the best! Like a few weeks ago, my mum, the famous Mrs X., took me to i.t. sales, because she could not stand the severe extremity I was torturing my grey “black” Ksubi jeans. Well… Surely, you can predict what was doomed to happen thereafter. We came home with a little something extra. Something that shimmers a particularly shade of silver in the dark. Ahhh… It was fate! Here it is:

Cheap Monday Autumn/Winter 2009/2010 Jeans Collection
I have wanted to make this entry on Cheap Monday for a little while, all because I saw this sleek black doll wearing this ultra cool pair of ripped Cheap Monday jeans in the podium floor at the luxurious Lane Crawford department store. Then yesterday, I watched an interview of Swedish newcomer Frida Gustavsson on models.com. In it, the sweet Swede, who has sensationally swept New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 by storm, told us in that adorable voice of hers that she was wearing whatelse but those super sweet Swedish jeans. Well… How can I resist anymore?
