Overexposed? That’s certainly the way that the Carmen Kass fan club would love to see the super idolised Estonian top model. Taking that term literally, photographer and editor in chief of Self Service Ezra Petronio has captured Ms. Kass through an indifferent light in this set of rather provocative photographs for the magazine’s Spring/Summer 2010 issue. Styled by the ingenious Suzanne Koller, the star of the editorial is seen dressed in the season’s hottest and rawest utilitarian pieces from Alexander Wang, A.P.C., Chloé, Céline, Balmain, Emilio Pucci to Hermès. Polaroids perfect!

Fashion Takes Flight!
Can Gerhard Freidl ever take an ugly picture? Nah, I don’t think so! Featured in View on Fashion’s editorial “Wings of Desire”, the amazing Austrian is photographed by Hunter & Gatti in a smart and chic wardrobe meticulously selected by Stylists Anita Reartes and Christopher Campbell. Shot entirely in black and white, this set of images speaks discreetly of an incredibly modern style. I really love the overlay image, in which the contrasting texture of his jacket comes out most blatantly. Flawless!

Losing Control For Lad Musician
Warning! Warning! Hot new arrival alert! Available at Lad Musician’s web store and one pair is this set of über-cool Joy Division inspired Tees by Japanese label Lad Musician. Capturing the essence of the English rock band’s spirit in print, this set of must-have cotton Tees comes in three wild prints – all of which shows off an edgy side of a guy in an effortless way. Prices range from ¥ 8,400 to ¥ 8,820. Frankly speaking, I am losing control over the U-neck Sharp Hem Line Tees. Can’t wait to put my claws all over it!

A Chic Chignon
Thank god she is back in action, because Eugenia Volodina is simply the perfect model to embody classic grace and elegance in this editorial entitled “Chignon” in the Spring/Summer 2010 issue of Double Magazine. Photographed by Paul Wetherell, this set of 11 images shows off a range of understated pieces styled together by the magnificent Mattias Karlsson. With natural make up by Hiromi Ueda and an immaculate chignon by James Rowe, the Russian’s striking look is far from being rusty, as she works the power of enchantment like no other.
Check out the rest of the images on The Fashion Spot.

In the Black. In Burberry Black.
After seeing a man robbing sweeping Burberry by taking five huge bags of goods home right before my very eyes, my attitude towards the classic English brand, in particular its true irresistibility, has certainly changed immensely. Showing off its latest offerings in Japanese magazine Men’s Club is none other than the legally blond Austrian model Gerhard Freidl. Styled by Kazumi Horiguchi, Mr. Freidl is dressed in a smart and stylish selection of Burberry Black’s flawlessly tailored suits. The resulting images by photographer Yasutomo Ebisu show an effortlessly charming “English” gentleman, who is smooth and sharp all around!

GQ Style Germany’s Winning Editorial
I don’t usually do blogposts about editorials. However, when it comes to GQ Style Germany’s latest editorial, I just can’t resist. Styled by the talented Klaus Stockhausen, a handful of the hottest male models of the moment (Adrian Bosch, Beck Brendon, Christian Brylle, Collin Tennant, Gen Huisman, Gerhard Freidl, Gordon Bothe, Lasse Pederson, Matvey Lykov, Nikola Jovanovic, Oskar Landstrom, Paris Nicholson and Tim Boot) are captured showing off their winning looks in an editorial entitled “The Winner”. Photographer Giampaolo Sgura seized this historic moment perfectly through his creative lens and presents this triumphant time in print right in front of our very eyes.

In Full Swing
Although I don’t feel anything different since the arrival of 2010 – because let’s face it, I had been writing about Fashion for Spring/Summer 2010 since July last year – it is important to set goals so that we start on the right foot on the right track and don’t get lost on the way. For me, my only New Year’s resolution for this year would be to bring blogyul in full swing. It doesn’t sound like much to do, but it’s always easy to say and difficult to do, no? I hope that I could get into the swing of it with pride and joy.
