Freja Beha Erichsen, Raquel Zimmermann and Magdalena Frackowiak in Chloé Spring/Summer 2010 Collection
Perhaps it’s the golden rays she sends out each season at Chloé, I’m actually warming up to Hannah MacGibbon – Creative Director of the French Luxury Fashion House. Well… It’s not the most avant-garde show I have ever seen, but nonetheless, it’s delightful and it’s desirable! With this winning combination, I am confident that Chloé’s financial matters will be enjoying quite a pleasant ride in the forthcoming fall.

Lanvin's Carnation Comes Into Bloom
A ball of fabric standing on a pin may not sound exactly like something exciting. However, given the creative treatment by Lanvin’s magnificent menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver, magic just happens! Available in four different delightful colours – white, navy, grey and plum, Lanvin’s Fabric carnation brooch (£99.00) is simply an amazing accessory to bring an extraordinary sense of softness to a man’s tough look. Beautiful and brilliant at the same time.
Available at Harvey Nichols.

Caroline Brasch Nielsen, Carla Gebhart and Jaquelyn Jablonski in Céline
One sleepy “morning”, my friend woke me up from my most wanted and most needed beauty sleep to tell me to urgently check out Garance Dore’s video of Céline’s show. At first, I was doubtful. I mean was it really that powerful, that worthy to disrupt the most valued activity of my day? Moreover, does it truly live up to all the hypes and expectations? Well… Well… Well… To my surprise, Ms. Philo’s show for Céline was indeed everything of the above description and even more.

Lanvin's extravagant Stanislas Earring
Add a sense of fun and style to your final look with Lanvin’s adorable Stanislas earrings. Shaped by delicate twigs of shiny brass to form the silhouette of a playful little poster child for endearing cuteness, then, adorned with exquisite crystals and red coral beading; this pair of earrings glows with subtlety, class and extravagant refinement. Yet, its tribal influence creates a remarkably raw touch that makes the entire thing seem primitive in the way that it connects no-time-to-waste city life into the full embrace of Mother Nature. At ~€543.00, this lovely doll-shaped pair, for me, is definitely a timeless piece worth purchasing.

Russian model Matvey Lykov closes the Dior Homme show.
Growing older and older each day, I no longer strive to put all the models with first names starting with the letter M in my list of favourite models. Yet, out of the blue, somehow it just happened: introducing a new favourite of mine this February is the fabulous Russian model Matvey Lykov. Ever since the day I watched the in bed with Matvey Lykov video - tweeted to me by a little bird from modelhommes, I just could not forget his mighty loveliness. Obviously, by and large, he is very good looking, but what charmed us sharply right through and swept us off both our feet is the fact that he speaks three and a half languages – Russian, English, Spanish and a little bit of Italian. Obviously, we share something common there. Let’s exchange numbers, Matvey and please teach me Spanish!

Marlena Szoka, Maria Kashleva and Suzie Bird in Alexis Mabille Haute Couture 2010
Alexis Mabille’s Spring/Summer Haute Couture show 2010 is certainly something that I did not expect to see at first glance. No frills. No pretty bows. No lace. The show opened with Belarusian model Olga Sherer dressed in the French designer’s bi-colour pant suit look. As oppose to what the Lyon-born designer had been doing famously, this is certainly something new and fresh.

Danish model Mathias Lauridsen shows off Viktor & Rolf's Fall/Winter 2010/11 Collection
Entitled “Paint It Black”, Dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren’s men’s show took its cue from the infamous Rolling Stones song. Influenced by the remarkable English Rock Band, the colour palette of the collection is naturally tainted with almighty blackness; yet the attitude and the final look are true blue royal and loyal to the Amsterdam-based fashion house. Namely, each model appears like an exact replica of Mr. Horsting and Mr. Snoeren exhibiting the designers’ signature quirky and cool style.

Adrian Bosch, Nikola Jovanovic and Jakob Wiechmann in Dries Van Noten
The first thing that caught my critical eye for coolness from Dries van Noten’s Fall/Winter 2010/11 runway show for men was… Adrian Bosch the charming camel trench coat with the fudge boning as worn by Danish model Adrian Bosch (see picture above). I love the boning, as it creates a youthful vibe, as if those clean lines were drawn on playfully, while giving it a sleek structure, which I adore so much.

Gorgeous Greatness from Givenchy
If it’s not because of Russian model Anna Selezneva, I would have totally missed this hidden treasure and above all, important detail from the stylish French fashion house Givenchy: an extra strap, which goes around the heel of those gorgeous Holly strappy leather sandals (Above right £717.39) to make them truly exceptionally extraordinary. Well… Need I say more? Hardcore glamour has never been more explicitly expressed. Browsing on net-a-porter later on, my two eyes separated paranormally, as if I have landed in an extraterrestrial cyberspace, when I sighted the 8th and 9th wonder of the world. Instantaneously, one eye was glued to those lovely Bianco leather boots (Above left £652.17) and the other fixed on the extravagant choice: an exquisite pair of leather crocodile-print sandals (Above middle £717.39). Well… Obviously, in order to keep me sane at all times, these three pairs are absolute essentials! Available at net-a-porter now.

A daunting yet delightful collection from Playhound by Greyhound
When people talk about Thailand, the word “fashion” rarely comes to mind; and that certainly makes it all the more special to learn about this terrific Thai fashion label – Playhound by Greyhound. The brand’s philosophy mixes the main line’s chic and contemporary, simple but never boring style; and adds a touch of youth and experimental attitude to the clothes to make it all the more irresistible. For fall/winter 2009, the three pieces I absolutely adore are the shoes with the bone-chilling X-ray vision of the foot showing each individual toes in detail; the tie with the print of the beautiful texture of age-old trees as well as the tie with the bloodcurdling X-ray image of the arm. These pieces, for me, is worn at its best with the song X Ray Vision by The Maccabees blasting on the speakers. Creepy is charming, no?
Playhound by Greyhound is available at Seibu in Hong Kong, Traffic boutique in Moscow and Paris, Opia shop in Zürich, Fourstore in Berlin and Tjallamalla in Stockholm.
